WARRANTY
ALSAIF offers a warranty for its tools and equipment subject to the following conditions:
- The warranty is based on the terms below. ALSAIF will repair tool defects free of charge within the warranty period if a technical in-house evaluation by ALSAIF confirms defects due to material faults or production errors (factory fault).
- ALSAIF’s products are covered by 12 months warranty period.
- The warranty period starts with the purchase by the first end user. The date of the original invoice or cash point- receipt must be provided in order for a warranty claim to commence.
EXCLUSIONS
Excluded from this warranty are:
- Parts, which are subject to operational wear or wear due to other normal consumption as well as tool defects that result from wear, or from wear due to other normal consumption.
- Defects of the tool which are attributed to ignorance of operating instructions (Customer Negligence), to applications not in accordance with the intended use, to abnormal environmental factors, to extraneous operating conditions, to overloading or to improperly performed maintenance or cleaning.
- Defects of the tool, which are caused by use of accessories or spare parts which are not original tools parts.
- Tools which have been modified.
- Minor variances of the quality which are insignificant concerning the value or the suitability of the tool.
- Any potential warranty claim has to be assessed within the warranty period. For this the tool in question together with the original invoice/till receipt (stating the date and the tool model) is to be sent to the seller or to one of the ALSAIF authorized service centres/dealers. Partially or completely dismantled tools are not covered by this warranty.
- Claims other than the right of repair of the defective tool as mentioned in these warranty conditions are not covered by this warranty.
- The warranty period of the tool will not be extended or renewed by means of our warranty services.
PROCEDURE
- Faulty tools and equipment can be returned to our Warehouse situated in Northlands Deco Park, Hoogland, Randburg, ONLY within the 12-month warranty period. No tools or equipment will be accepted if it was purchased outside of the 12 months.
- The Invoice/ Slip, proof of payment and a full description (preferably videos and pictures) of the problem must be provided.
- Our in-house Technician will assess the goods and provide you with a Technical Assessment.
- The Technical Assessment will determine that the fault was due to either a factory fault or the customer’s negligence.
- In the case of a factory fault, we will repair the tool or equipment and courier it back to you at no charge.
- Should the Technical Assessment determine that the fault was due to the customer’s negligence, you will be quoted for the repair.
- Should you accept the quote, we will continue with the repair after payment has been received.
- Should you not wish to accept the quote, you will need to arrange for the product to be collected or couriered. Please note that no further resources will be made available to re-assemble or further repair the product in any way. The customer bears the cost and risk of transport to get the product back.
TIMEFRAMES
Although there are a lot of variables (i.e.: availability of spares) that can severely affect turnaround times, the following can be used as a guideline for repairs.
The days are counted from the next business day the tool or equipment has been received in our warehouse:
- Initial Assessment and first contact with customer- (approx.) 1-2 business days
- Technical Assessment and feedback to the customer- (approx.) 7-14 business days
- Repairs- (approx.) 7-14 business days
